Seafret-Atlantis

They met with each other at an open mic night. Harry Draper, an experienced local musician and Jach Sedman, who he had just discovered his voice skills! Hailing from the small town of Bridlington, North East of England, the duo chose the name Seafret for their music. As well as being a pun on the guitar fret board, it’s also a local term; it applies to the rolling mists that come in off the North Sea during summer. They clicked instantly. That’s how they learned to write: through playing and the chemistry between them. Honest and captivating , Seafret’s material has a beautifully contagious feel. Writing about life as it evolves around them, the two have a rare observational eye.
The video of "Atlantis" is directed by Brendan Canty, who was also behind Hozier's massive hit 'Take Me To Church'. The video features beautiful shots of Ireland, as it follows the story of two children who find their own lost city of Atlantis. The band said of the song's themes: "Growing up by the sea, we've always been fascinated by the lost city of Atlantis. We thought it would be different to use it as a metaphor to evolve the song into something more than just a standard heartbreak track."

Seafret-Atlantis

The birds that left the trees, the light bores onto me,
I can feel you lying there all on your own
We got here the hard way, all those words that we exchange
Is it any wonder things get dark?

Cause in my heart and in my head,
I’ll never take back the things I said
So high above, I feel it coming down
She said in my heart and in my head
Tell me why this has to end
oh no, oh no

I can’t save us, my Atlantis, we fall
We built this town on shaky ground
I can’t save us my Atlantis, oh no
We built it up to pull it down

Now all the birds have fled, the hurt just leaves me scared
Losing everything I’ve ever known
It’s all become too much, maybe I’m not built for love
If I knew that I could reach you, I would go

It’s in my heart and in my head
You can’t take back the things you said
So high above, I feel it coming down
She said in my heart and in my head
Tell me why this has to end
Oh no, oh no

I can’t save us, my Atlantis, we fall
We built this town on shaky ground
I can’t save us my Atlantis, oh no
We built it up to pull it down

And we build it up, and we build it up
And we build it up to pull it down
And we build it up, and we build it up
And we build it up to pull it down

I can’t save us, my Atlantis, we fall
We built this town on shaky ground
I can’t save us my Atlantis, oh no
We built it up to pull it down

Tame Impala-'Cause I'm A Man

It's not even called a band. Tame Impala is the recording project of Kevin Parker based in Perth, Australia. Kevin has been experimenting in music and the outcome of this experimentation is always the most highly anticipated. Parker's music is heavily influenced by late 1960s and early 1970s psychedelic rock, which is achieved through various production methods. Some favoured and often-used effects by Parker include phasing, delay, reverb and fuzz.Tame Impala’s third album is titled Currents, and on it Parker addresses a blindingly colourful panorama of transition in the most audacious, adventurous fashion he’s yet to capture on record. Lyrically the record finds Parker in a very different place in 2015 to where he was seven years ago. Transitions in life, relationships, perspectives, mindsets – Currents maps Parker’s evolution through these and finds him a brand new person. Listen and watch 'Cause I'm A Man on Lyrics On My Wall.

Tame Impala-'Cause I'm A Man

Like the brutal autumn sun
It dawns on me, what have I done?
Saying sorry ain't as good as saying why
But it buys me a little more time
Lost in the moment for the second time
Each fucking doubt I make, unleash a cry
I'm just pathetic, that's the reason why
In desperation, all that you can do is ask me why

‘Cause I'm a man, woman
Don't always think before I do
‘Cause I'm a man, woman
That's the only answer I've got for you
‘Cause I'm a man, woman
Not often proud of what I choose
I'm a human, woman
A greater force I answer to

Once again, as it takes a hold
I am aware I'm not in control
You see, I have a conscience and it's never fooled
But it's prone to be overruled
You wanna know what I always think I'm bind but
You never accept defeat or let it slide
But I have no voice if I don't speak my mind
My weakness is the source of all my pride, I'll tell you why

‘Cause I'm a man, woman
Don't always think before I do
‘Cause I'm a man, woman
That's the only answer I've got for you
‘Cause I'm a man, woman
I'll never be as strong as you
I'm a human, human
A greater force I answer to

SOAK-Sea Creatures

Today Ireland votes for Marriage Equality. For some artists from Ireland this is a historical moment. Even for those, who have been out for years, they have faced discrimination in every form, makind their living a hard thing.
Bridie Monds-Watson aka SOAK has said that When she was 14 she wrote a song called ‘Sea Creatures’ about a friend who was quite ill physically, and was getting bullied on account of her sexuality. It is the best timing ever to have it posted on Lyrics On My Wall this day. SOAK herself is not girly, at first sight she seems more like a boy and the fragile voice can only reveal her true identity. Her debut album will be out in 7 days under the interesting title: Before We Forgot How To Dream. Enjoy the "Sea Creatures" on Lyrics On My Wall.

SOAK-Sea Creatures

The stars and moon
Remind me of you
I don't know what to say
It might make you worse

I don't understand
What her problem is
I think she's just a fish!

I know you get it bad
You don't deserve this
And I wont put up
With there ignorance

And they tell you
They love you
Well they don't mean it

I don't think they know what they mean!
I don't think they know what love is
Throw it around like it's worthless
I don't think they know what love is.

I don't get this town
Neither do you
We should run away
Just me and you.

Cause I don't get the people here
They're curious
They don't really care.

Sea creatures
Interefere
I wish they would disappear...

They don't know what love is
Throw it around like it's worthless
They don't know what love is!

I pray for you
And you know I don't like Jesus!

Want you to get better...
Please, please get better
For you, for me

Ciaran Lavery & Ryan Vail-The Colour Blue

I am trying to write this post for so long. Just staring at the screen with the "Colour Blue" playing on the background. Trust me this is not happening so often. Ciaran Lavery and Ryan Vail are two kind young men from North Ireland. Even though music is a united thing, they came from other sides of music. Lavery is a gorgeous folk singer and Vail creates Dark Melodic Electronic music. They both lived by the sea and the outcome of their collaboration proves how inspiring the water can be. Their mini album "Sea Legs" was only released a month ago and it feels like it could stay in our ears forever. The gentle touch of the melodies, the vocals, the background electronic sounds and the lyrics are going to captivate your soul. Enjoy and read the official lyrics only on Lyrics On My Wall.

Ciaran Lavery & Ryan Vail-The Colour Blue

For all that you want you never have it all
Lying on my back a-waiting for your call
Images are stacked, the radio is low & my heart is too

Sleeping in your bed I wonder where you go
Walking all your floors, I've tickets to the show
See you dancing, hands all glorious & cold in the colour blue

So I put on my suit & I race toward the light
And I chase your shadow from here into the night
If what I want from this world has been pushed out with the tide..

Then do I want you now?
Is the space too close?
She chews her gum with her mouth closed,
But her eyes say so

Villagers-Everything I Am Is Yours

Villagers are from Dublin. They are an indie folk band only formed back in 2008. The founder and lead singer is Conor O'Brien. He could easily remind you of Paolo Nutini and I am talking about the quality of his voice. Their third album was out just a month ago, April 2015 under the title "Darling Arithmetic" with a list of lovely tracks. The main theme of this album is Love. Love in all its forms, from the beginning to the end. O' Brien is noted for his dark lyrics. The new album was written, recorded, produced and mixed by Conor at his own home, with him playing all instruments on the record, as you can watch in the music video of "Everything I Am Is Yours". Enjoy the Villagers!

Villagers-Everything I Am Is Yours

I am just a man tippin' on the wire
Tight rope walking fool balanced on desire
I can not control these ever changing ways
So how can I be sure the feeling will remain
It'll always change
But everything I am is yours
Everything I am is yours

Find it hard to say what's going on inside
Got these little walls, couldn't break them if I tried
But I promise I'll be true and I promise I'll be right
Sickness and in health
In the darkness and the light
I give you every sigh
'Cause everything I am is yours
Everything I am is yours

Left my demons at the door
So what you opening it for?
I guess they'll help you understand
Everything I am, Everything I am

Bear's Den-Agape

I woke up today with Agape on my mind. You know it is very unusual to hear a greek word as a title of a track. Then you find out that Bear's Den are singing it and then you watch the music video. I mean, you have to pay attention. Bear's Den is a band made by a trio back in 2012. They write and play mostly alternative folk music and they have released their debut album Islands in 2014. They have supported artists like Mumford and Sons, Daughter and Matt Corby. They might ring a bell if you have watched the wonderful music documentary "Austin To Boston" featuring Ben Howard, The Staves, Nathaniel Rateliff and Bear's Den. If you haven't then you should definitely watch it right away. The band's Kev Jones explains the song and video: "To me the song is partly about insecurity in a relationship, about never being able to shake that feeling, and how by default that feeling can lead to a relationship's demise. I thought slowly sinking into the sand only to be engulfed in waves summed that up well, the feeling of inevitability brought on by your own thoughts and the sensation of restriction that can manifest itself in those situations… The shoot itself was a little more brutal that we had imagined, nothing can quite prepare you for being buried fully clothed in wet sand at 8AM on a January morning." Enjoy!

Bear's Den-Agape

Agape
Please don't dissipate
I know that I've got it all wrong
I'm reaching out
To touch your voice
But baby I'm clutching at straws

Eventhough your words hurt the most
I still want to hear them
Every day
You say let it go,
but I can't let it go
I wanna believe every word that you say

For I'm so scared of losing you
and I don't know what I can do about it
About it
So tell me how long love before you go
and leave me here on my own
I know it

I don't want to know who I am without you.

Agape
Please don't dissipate
Yeah, I know that I've got it all wrong
I'm reaching out
To touch your voice
But baby I'm clutching at straws

For I'm so scared of losing you
and I don't know what I can do about it
About it
So tell me how long love before you go
and leave me here on my own
I know it
I don't want to know who I am without you.

I don't want to know.
I don't want to know.
I don't want to know.

For I'm so scared of losing you
and I don't know what I can do about it
About it
So tell me how long love before you go
and leave me here on my own
I know it
I know it
So tell me how long love before you go
and leave me here on my own
I don't want to know who I am without you.
I don't want to know who I am without you.

José González - Open Book

You probably know him already from the posts about his band Junip, but we are extremely excited about this brand new album of Jose Gonzalez. This new album is, without question, the most highly anticipated of his career. One can find traces of inspired protest songs and eccentric folk rock on Vestiges & Claws: frustration and optimism. It’s a collection that is simultaneously confident, free and uncertain. He has focused more on the role of being a producer this time. He has spent more time thinking of what’s best for the song and the recording. This explains completely why this album must be in your music library. A few weeks ago, José González starred in Calexico's "Falling From The Sky" video as the caretaker to a big, creepy worm. That video was the first of a two-part story from director Mikel Cee Karlsson. Today brings González's video for "Open Book", from this year'sVestiges & Claws, which continues the narrative. Below, watch González continue to care for the worm until the situation becomes untenable.

José González - Open Book

I feel just like an open book,
Exposing myself in this neighborhood
Talking to people as if I'd knew them well
Thinking that everyone has come through different kinds of well
Lately I found myself in doubt,
Ask myself what it's all about
What am I doing here? What's this leading to?
What's the point of all? I found you!
I've got promises to keep like a cannon would land upon my feet,
Each time I fall

Every now and then in dreams by the river with no trees
Leaves are yellow, red and brown, and I hear
You whisper in my ear
Your love belongs to everyone
I feel just like an open book,
A couple of words, it's all it took
In front of the bright white covers, still vacantly
Against my will, a drifting vessel in the storm
Pushed around, from shore to shore
I know there's so much left to see
I know I have so much left to give
But the memories remain, yet the scars don't feel the same
Filling page just one by one, in the warmth of other suns

Of Monsters And Men-Crystals

We've been waiting and waiting for new stuff by this band. Of Monsters And Men only came to life as a band in 2010, but they had the ability to haunt us down with their magical vocals. We can only expect something better than their debut album. The first track "Crystals" is very promising for the upcoming album "Beneath the Skin", which is going to be released on 9th June. The album and single artwork was created by artist Leif Podhajsky. The music video for Crystals is completely weird as it was supposed to be. The song itself, I think it is about the joy you can feel, the feeling of goosebumps. When you forgive. When you forget. When you are pass by fear. When you dream.
Enjoy on Lyrics On My Wall.

Of Monsters And Men-Crystals

Lost in skies of powdered gold
Caught in clouds of silver ropes
Showered by the empty hopes
As I tumble down, falling fast to the ground

I know I'll wither so peel away the bark
'Cause nothing grows when it is dark
In spite of all my fears, I can see it all so clear
I see it all so clear

Woah
Cover your crystal eyes
And feel the tones that tremble down your spine
Woah
Cover your crystal eyes
And let your colours bleed and blend with mine

Making waves in pitch black sand
Feel the salt dance on my hands
Raw and charcoal coloured thighs
Feel so cold and my skin feels so paper-thin

I know I'll wither so peel away the bark
'Cause nothing grows when it is dark
In spite of all my fears, I can see it all so clear
I see it all so clear

Woah
Cover your crystal eyes
And feel the tones that tremble down your spine
Woah
Cover your crystal eyes
And let your colours bleed and blend with mine

But I'm okay in see-through skin
I forgive what is within
'Cause I'm in this house
I'm in this home
All my time

Woah
Cover your crystal eyes
And feel the tones that tremble down your spine
Woah
Cover your crystal eyes
And let your colours bleed and blend with mine

RHODES-Turning Back Around

David Rhodes is this mystical young man from Baldock in Hertfordshire. If you have been to any concerts of Ben Howard, Sam Smith, London Grammar or Amber Run, then you probably know him already. He goes by his surname "Rhodes" and he is writing his own music. If you ask him what is the music he writes, he is going to tell you "Dark but uplifting Cinematic Pop", which at first it's going to let you with your jaw dropping but when you start digging in his music, it will make perfect sense. You can file him next to Bon Iver, James Vincent McMorrow because of his wonderful and effortless falsettos. His new song "Turning Back Around" will send you on a trip especially if you watch the music video. They were totally had fun shooting this. Enjoy!

RHODES-Turning Back Around

There's water on the ground,
I'm buying my story
I don't know how shallow it is
Can you tell? Can you tell just by looking at me?!
Well I need to get across,
But my hands are tied by my side
Can you swing? Can you swing just by kicking out?
I didn't mean no harm,
I didn't mean no harm
Now I'm hiding from everyone I know
Can't tell 'em what I know
I'm lying to everyone I know,
Can't tell 'em what I know
and no, I'm not turning back around!

Uh my gentle moves low
You don't know how long it have been
Can you tell? Can you tell just by looking at me?!
Well, I didn't mean no harm,
I didn't mean no harm
Now I'm hiding from everyone I know
Can't tell 'em what I know
I'm lying to everyone I know,
Can't tell 'em what I know
and no, I'm not turning back around!

I'm not turning back around!
I'm not turning back around!
I'm not turning back around!
I'm not turning back around!

[Outro: ]
I heard you, I heard you on
I heard you, I heard you on
I heard you, I heard you on
I heard you, I heard you on
I heard you, I heard you on
I heard you, I heard you on

I'm not turning back around!
I'm not turning back around!

Silences-The Sea (update)

Once you listen to this track, you will be for a while in another place. Somewhere where all the things seem possible, love and other stuff. Silences is the music project of Conchúr White. Since being joined by his cousin Breandán White, and close friends Christopher Harbinson, Michael Keyes and Jonathan Downing. Currlently located at Armagh. They were formed only in 2013. Their sound is kinda fresh and nostalgic. They can easily remind you of Coldplay's old times and Sigur Ros melodies. As the band claims: "The Sea pays homage to desire over fear. It is an amalgamation of everything we have learnt and signifies an advancement in both writing and production". The official launch of their new single "The Sea" will be out on 5th May, and they we will be able to add the music video to this post. Since then, you can only listen to it and watch another music video of them "Sister Snow". Enjoy!

Silences-The Sea

The waves seem quaint to the ones we tamed, to the ones we tamed
But that tone it begs for me to go so I'll go.

At the port you'll learn that the rags I wore were only worn
To bring me here, it's you I want to wear.

If only for my confidence in all the things that don't make sense
I'll brave it all, I'll swim right through, the sea then you.

And the marks we fear, this ship saw piers, this ship saw piers
But you know you are its lighthouse, don't you dear?

If only for my confidence in all the things that don't make sense
I'll brave it all, I'll swim right through, the sea then you.

Open water won't decide all the colour I deny.

If only for my confidence in all the things that don't make sense
I'll brave it all, I'll swim right through, the sea then you.

Novo Amor-Welcome to the Jungle

Whoever has been watching TV lately, he might have seen this commercial by AXE. A very weird one, if you ask me. The soundtrack of this ad, though, is pretty haunting. It could remind you of Chris Martin from Coldplay or maybe James Vincent McMorrow, but the talented man who owns this voice is Ali Lacey and his stage name is Novo Amor. He is coming from Cardiff and his music influences are mutual with ours. He owns a great website, you can visit it here: http://www.novoamor.co.uk/. You can judge by the lyrics, what this song is about and let us know what you think in the comments below.

Novo Amor-Welcome to the Jungle

Welcome to the jungle

We've got fun and games
We've got everything you want,
honey I know the names
We are the ones that can find
 whatever you might need
If you got the money honey
I'll be your disease

In the jungle,
 uuhh welcome to the jungle
I Watch it bring you to your knees,
I want to watch you bleed

Welcome to the jungle
we take it day by day
If you want it you're gonna bleed
but it's the price you've got to pay
Oh so pretty girl,
that's very hard to please
You can have everything you want,
You better not take it from me

In the jungle
uuhh welcome to the jungle
I watch it bring you to your knees
'Cause I want watch you bleed

Lucy Rose-Our Eyes

We all met her, while she was collaborating with Bombay Bicycle Club. After that, Lucy Rose went solo and followed her own music carreer. In July we expect her brand new album "Work It Out", but the first single is already out. "Our Eyes" is the title of the track and Rose claims that it is a song about when someone has done something that has annoyed or upset you, but as soon as your eyes meet you can’t help but smile and forget about it all and make up. In my opinion, Lucy Rose, has everything a girl needs to listen. She has that fragile voice but at the same time you listen to some of the hardest words in a form of lyrics out of her mouth.
Check it out here on Lyrics On My Wall.

Lucy Rose-Our Eyes

I'm alive
I feel it now
I never knew I'll find it on you
Out of line we got ourselves
In a look, wait we are not fine
Wait, you are not mine!
We find our eyes stuck looking at
Our eyes are making out
We're not made for this
Fighting love
Our eyes stuck looking at
Our eyes are making out
We're too close to be out of touch!
Out of touch, ooh oh
Out of touch

Lay away, silent corner
Side by side, we follow our minds
Walk it on, then we trip
On the line, wait we are not fine
Wait, you are not mine!
We find Our eyes stuck looking at
Our eyes are making out
We're not made for this
Fighting love
Our eyes stuck looking at
Our eyes are making out
We're too close to be out of touch!
Our eyes stuck looking at
Our eyes are making out
We're not made for this
Fighting love
Our eyes stuck looking at
Our eyes are making out
We're too close to be out of touch!

I can't stay low
I'm always glad when we wake up
I'm just as there as you
So, when we wake up
I can't stay low
I'm always glad when we wake up
I'm just as there as you
So, when we wake up
Our eyes stuck looking at
Our eyes are making out
We're not made for this
Fighting love
Our eyes stuck looking at
Our eyes are making out
We're too close to be out of touch!
Our eyes stuck looking at
Our eyes are making out
We're not made for this
Fighting love
Our eyes stuck looking at
Our eyes are making out
We're too close to be out of touch!
Oh oh, out of touch
Oh oh, out of touch
Out of touch

INTERVIEW: All We Are

After I visited Liverpool, I am searching more and more about the music that is born there. Many artists and many bands, that are so talented are formed every day! I feel like the music tank of this area will never get empty! The band that is featured today on LOMW was formed in Liverpool and they asked all our questions here!
Lay back, grab a coffee and read the interview while you listen to their new song: Keep Me Alive!

LOMW: Welcome on Lyrics On My Wall! Thank you for the fast response about this interview. Could you please introduce yourselves to our audience and then tell us from where exactly are you answering this Q&A?

AWA: Hi there, we're All We Are, coming at ya from our tour van somewhere in Germany, on our way to Hamburg.

LOMW: You have all studied in LIPA. I guess this is your meeting point. What is the story of your band’s formation?

AWA: We meet at first day in Uni and we really clicked, been best friends ever since! We started the band when we left university though. We wanted to stay in Liverpool and get involved in the scene here. We work very well musically, so here we are!

LOMW: Each one of you comes from different places. Brazil, Norway, Ireland. Does that add different cultural elements to your music?

AWA:  Not really, we all grew up listening to fairly similar things but of course our heritage will always be there.

LOMW: Liverpool seems like one of the best music communities. Lately, we’ve seen historical music scenes to shut down after police raids, like the one at the Lomax. After that we witnessed a massive movement from musicians and people who loved the place in order to save the venue. What’s your opinion on that?

AWA: Lately we've seen a lot of venues close down around Liverpool that are really important to us. They close for various reasons and each one is a detraction from Liverpool's art culture. The mobilisation of the people to protest at this is part of Liverpool's heritage and in its blood.

LOMW: Recently, a big music platform in Greece named you “Big in 2015”, how does it feel to become famous in different places on earth?

AWA: We're extremely happy that people enjoy what we're up to. We love writing tunes and playing live and that people now start to connect with it is huge for us. We want people to feel that they are part of it and we would LOVE to play in Greece

LOMW: We are living in the years of technology, what’s your relationship with it? Do you use the social media and in what way?

AWA: It's a good way to communicate with your fans. We're try to answer everyone that contacts us and wonder about stuff. It's nice to be nice.

LOMW: How it feels to sell music online and on the other hand how it feels when your music is downloaded illegally? What future do you predict of CD or Vinyl format? Will ever digital music replace them completely?

AWA: Vinyls are special, they will never disappear, they are too pretty and sound great. People have predicted the death of CD's for ages now but it's still around... Illegal downloads, guess it's better to be heard than not and the more people that hear you will come to your gigs.

LOMW: What is your biggest dream in music as a group? Maybe a collaboration or being on tour with someone?

AWA: Think every musician would love to headline Glastonbury. Think that's as  good as it gets! But in saying that our biggest dream is to play The Royal Albert Hall with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. That would be epic!

LOMW: What are your plans for the future? What should your fans expect from you?

AWA: As long as you guys keep listening we're going to keep writing tunes, keep releasing albums and play loads of gigs!

LOMW: Thank you for answering all these questions for Lyrics On My Wall. We wish you a year full of success and creativity! Stay cool and love music!

AWA: No problems! Big love xx

All We Are-Keep Me Alive

I'm giving you more that I can take
Need you baby, I need you baby
Giving you more that I can face
Do you feel it, baby?
Do you feel it, baby?

I need you baby, to keep me alive
To keep me alive
I need you baby, to keep me alive
To keep me alive

Giving your colours to amaze
Need to face it, need to face it
Giving you pictures to portrait
Need to place it, need to place it
I hear nothing at all but your breathing
I hear nothing at all, nothing at all
Giving you more than I can fake
Do you feel it, baby?
Do you feel it, baby?

I need you baby, to keep me alive
To keep me alive
I need you baby, to keep me alive
To keep me alive

I hear nothing at all but your breathing
I need you baby, to keep me alive
To keep me alive
I hear nothing at all, nothing at all
I hear nothing at all but your breathing
I need you baby, to keep me alive
To keep me alive
I hear nothing at all, nothing at all

I need you baby, to keep me alive
To keep me alive
I need you baby, to keep me alive
To keep me alive

I hear nothing at all but your breathing
I need you baby, to keep me alive
To keep me alive
I hear nothing at all, nothing at all

Years & Years-King

They are the past and future in indie-electronic, as I like to say it. Years & Years formed back in 2010. From Australia to UK and from web to the shower, they found each other and since then, they create some of the best tunes in electronic genre, in my opinion anyway! They were named Big in 2015 from many sites and you will find the reasons once you listen to them. Years & Years were also nominated for the Critics Choice Award for the Brit Awards 2015. Their new EP Y & Y released in February 2015 and today we post here the song "King".  The very interesting music video with choreography that shows a very crazy or maybe schizophrenic King, who is under someone else's control! ;)
Check it out, here, on Lyrics On My Wall.

Years & Years-King

I caught you watching me under the light
Can I be your line?
They say it's easy to leave you behind
I don't wanna try

Come and take that test
Hold courage to your chest
Don't wanna wait for you
Don't wanna have to lose
All that I compromised to feel another high
I've got to keep it down tonight

And oh, oh, oh
I was a king under your control
And oh, oh, oh
I wanna feel like you've let me go
So let me go

Don't you remember how I used to like
Being on the line?
I dreamed you dreamed of me calling out my name
Is it worth the price?

Come and take that test
Hold courage to your chest
Don't wanna wait for you
Don't wanna have to lose
All that I compromised to feel another high
I've got to keep it down tonight

And oh, oh, oh
I was a king under your control
And oh, oh, oh
I wanna feel like you've let me go
So let me go

I had to break myself to carry on
No love and no admission
Take this from me tonight
Oh, let's fight (x4)

And oh, oh, oh
I was a king under your control
And oh, oh, oh
I wanna feel like you've let me go
So let me go

Let go, let go, let go of everything (x4)

Florence + The Machine - What Kind Of Man

We haven't listened something new from Florence and The Machine since their last album "Ceremonials". This album was all about death and water but this new album is all about learning how to live and how to love. In June, we expect their third album "How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful". The lead single came out with a surprising music video for the track "What Kind Of Man". In this music video, which was directed by Vincent Haycock, you will see Florence dancing, screaming, acting crazy, dreaming and fighting her own demons. Even seeing her naked adds quality in this atmospheric music video. The sound is epic and at moments you will feel intense electricity! Check it out on Lyrics On My Wall.

Florence + The Machine - What Kind Of Man

I was on a heavy tip
Tryna cross a canyon with a broken limb
You were on the other side
Like always, wondering what to do with life
I already had a sip
So I'd reasoned I was drunk enough to deal with it
You were on the other side
Like always, you could never make your mind

And with one kiss
You inspired a fire of devotion
That lasted 20 years
What kind of man loves like this

To let me dangle at a cruel angle
Oh my feet don't touch the floor
Sometimes you're half in and then you're half out
But never close the door

What kind of man loves like this
What kind of man
What kind of man loves like this
What kind of man

You're a holy fool all colored blue
Red feet upon the floor
You do such damage, how do you manage?
Tryna crawl in back for more

And with one kiss
You inspired a fire of devotion
That lasted 20 years
What kind of man loves like this

What kind of man loves like this
What kind of man
What kind of man loves like this
What kind of man

But I can't beat you
Cause I'm still with you
Oh mercy I implore
How do you do it
I think I'm through it
Then I'm back against the wall

What kind of man loves like this
What kind of man
What kind of man loves like this
What kind of man

Interview: Fourth And Folsom

It’s extremely surprising when you ask a band for a Q&A and the answer comes back right away. This is what happened today with Jamie from Fourth and Folsom

LOMW: Welcome on Lyrics On My Wall! Thank you for the fast response about this interview. Could please tell us who you are and from where exactly are you answering this Q&A?

F&F: Hi, I’m Jamie from Fourth and Folsom, I’m one of two multi-instumentalists in the band, and currently answering this from our studio outside of London at the moment.

LOMW: While I was trying to find more about you, I’ve noticed that there are not many things online, but there are many people who find your music unique. How have you done this?

F&F: Well, we’ve always been a bit apprehensive about putting music out there, and as a result only ended up with a couple of singles over the past year that have stuck. We’ve gigged London extensively to get our music out there by word of mouth really.

LOMW: On Facebook, you state that you are unsigned. How easy it is to work without a label? What are the pros and cons?

F&F: Yes we’re unsigned at the moment in terms of a record label. Over the past year we’ve been working a lot harder by ourselves, as in 2013 we were signed to an independent label in south east London that we dropped early last year. It is a lot harder to work without a label but it definitely is beneficial to small bands, as it stops you from taking the pressure off! In December we signed to Playground PR who are handling all of our releases this year, including our album release, so now we have a little bit of help which is nice.

LOMW: What inspires you to write your music and lyrics? Do you have the instinct when you write something that is going to be big?

F&F: We’re inspired to write about all matter of things, as there’s three of us in the band who are songwriters. So the lyrical content is really varied as we all have different inspirations and styles. We enjoy writing the kind of music that we like to go and see live, so it’s easy to see our influences in our songs and live set at times. We never really know which of our songs are going to be popular until we play them live though.

LOMW: If someone asked you, what’s the best act in music scene right now, what would you suggest and why?

F&F: Thats a really hard question. Obviously because there are so many good acts out there at the moment. Our favourite live band we’ve ever seen all together, and definitely my personal favourite band, is Local Natives. They have an absolutely ridiculous live set that is near identical to their recordings, which is so impressive considering the playing on them! We take a lot of influence from them as a band and would love to see them play live again, they’re hardly ever in London though. Or The Districts. We’ve got mutual friends with them and they’re just incredible for their age, they’re signed to Fat Possum records and they’re all 19 or 20 I think.

LOMW: The UK is a music leader across the globe, what’s that –in your opinion- that makes this place different in such way?

F&F: I think the UK is one of the leaders because we have so many cities that are so embedded in musical culture. We have a lot of cities have churned out bands that have dominated the Globe. Liverpool gave The Beatles, Manchester gave the Stone Roses, London gave Led Zeppelin. List goes on really! We love America though, we’ve spent time recording in Philadelphia with two amazing producers Gino Wong and Tim Motzer, and the music scenes in the US are incredible as well. Will definitely be making a trip over as soon as we can.

LOMW: What should your fans expect from Fourth and Folsom in the future?

F&F: Fans should expect our next release, which is our first single of the year ‘Golden Dunes’ on March 30th. But in the future, they should expect a lot of live shows, sessions and the like running up to our debut album release later this year!

LOMW: Thank you so much for being here and support with your own way our effort on Lyrics On My Wall, which is always to bring the good music to more ears. Keep on creating the best you can and LOMW will always be here to support you!

Fourth And Folsom-I Won't Fall

I don’t need to
feel like I’m walking alone
alone
and you’d say I need
something to hold me back
back (x2)

I won’t fall
you can count on me now
don’t know why
I was feeling so low down
I need love
Face’s red
Staring right through your window

There are no words to scrap from this
letter my love
and you fall short when
I seem to need you the most
Most (x2)

I won’t fall
you can count on me now
don’t know why
I was feeling so low down
I need love
Face’s red
Staring right through your window

I won’t fall
you can count on me now
don’t know why
I was feeling so low down
I need love
Face’s red
Staring right through your window
